James DeGrasse "Jimmy"
General Manager
Jimmy is a long-time member of YTC and previously served on the Club’s Board of Directors from 2015 to 2017, and as Club President in 2017. His deep connection to the club and its community makes him uniquely positioned to lead as General Manager.
A graduate of the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business, Jimmy holds a degree in Finance. Over the past 40 years, he has owned and operated a 100+ year-old family business, a NAPA Auto Parts franchise, and a successful e-commerce venture. His experience spans strategic planning, operations, and financial oversight—skills that will be instrumental in supporting YTC’s continued growth and excellence.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Jimmy brings a strong record of community involvement, having served as Treasurer (and President) for four different community organizations. His leadership experience, financial acumen, and longstanding commitment to the Yakima community are great assets to YTC.
Avery West
Director of Tennis
Avery began playing tennis at an early age in local parks around his hometown in Bellingham, WA. He quickly developed a love of the sport and rose to become one of the top-ranking juniors in the PNW and HS state champion. He played Division 1 tennis at Portland State University, accruing several top 50 NCAA doubles wins and setting the highest win percentage in school history. As a RSPA certified teaching professional with 10+ years of experience, Avery has worked extensively within JR development/curriculum at the 10 & under age up to nationally ranked college athletes, as well as adults of all ages and abilities. He directed a non-profit partnered with the USTA helping under-resourced kids in the Seattle area with homework and tennis. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Geography, and off the court enjoys skiing, biking, and being outside. Avery's dedication to growing tennis in the Yakima Valley is an invaluable asset.
Stacy Stephen
Director of Member Services
Stacy is a RSPA Professional tennis and pickleball instructor. Stacy started her journey playing high school tennis at Davis High School and then continued onto the Yakima Valley College team where she learned invaluable tennis strategy from coach Forrest Latham. Having played on many USTA league teams and now pulling double duty as the USTA Eastern Washington League Coordinator, she is passionate about growing the sports of tennis and pickleball in our community.
Stacy grew up working in her families' businesses and is well versed in running a small business. Being a team player and her willingness to learn all aspects of running the club makes her a great asset to YTC.
