As some of you may have heard, Governor Jay Inslee issued a mandatory temporary closing of all restaurants, bars, entertainment and recreational facilities statewide to try and slow down the spread of COVID-19. His statement Sunday night was, “Given the explosion of COVID-19 in our state and globally, I will sign a statewide emergency proclamation (Monday) to temporarily shut down restaurants, bars and entertainment and recreational facilities.”
We are deeply saddened at this time to have to do this, but the Yakima Tennis Club will be closed until the end of the month. This is a hard time for many businesses and employees, and we appreciate our member’s understanding and support while everyone attempts to navigate this unknown territory. We will have a board meeting this Thursday, March 19th at 5:30pm at the outdoor facility. Attendance will be limited and distance will be kept during it to follow the Governor’s criteria for public health and social distancing. If anyone has questions, comments, ideas, or concerns please feel free to email them to Kirk Ehlis, President of the Board, at email@example.com and he will bring them up in the meeting and make sure everyone is represented.
Management will still be around for anything throughout the month, and will continue to meet on a regular basis to assess the situation as new information regarding the virus and from the state becomes available.
Again, thank you to all our members for your continued support of the club.
Tennis Department Update
Dear YTC Members and Junior Program Participants,
In order to do our part to help prevent the spread of the Coronavirus and comply with the Governor’s statement last night, we have elected to cancel all lesson programs for the remainder of the month. The health and safety of our members, guests and staff is of the utmost importance.
We will continue to evaluate the situation and follow the guidelines set forth by local, state and federal health officials. We appreciate your understanding during this very challenging time.
